"In the year 2999, an unidentified alien fleet suddenly appeared out of the Thalian Zone into our solar system. Pluto Base had already been taken by them, and now the alien fleet is heading for the Earth. Star Fleet, commanded by Earth Defence Forces had sent the X-Bomber to engage the enemy, but X-Bomber was not ready for armed combat - it was forced to make an emergency landing at Moon Base..." |

Plot rundown

Satisfied that X-Bomber has been destroyed, Captain Orion prepares to attack the Earth. He is stopped by Commander Makara, ordering him to wait until they have the "F-Zero-One" in their hands - attacking Earth may destroy it... Star Fleet command continue trying to raise contact with X-Bomber, but with no success. |
Aboard the alien mother ship, Makara interrogates her prisoner Captain Carter - demanding to know where the F-Zero-One is. He refuses to talk and resists attempts to probe his mind, though he eventually passes out. Makara orders he be kept alive as he still might be of use to them... |

On Moon Base Lamia gives up trying to contact X-Bomber, takes a buggy and heads toward the ship ignoring warnings from the base. Orion sends Imperial fighters to attack, but the X-Bomber crew regain consciousness and give her covering fire. She arrives safely on board but the enemy then renew their attack on the crippled X-Bomber which takes a lot of damage... The crew manage to turn the tide of the battle by shifting the position of the ship and firing a concentrated laser beam at the main Drone craft. Orion retreats - barely escaping with his life... |
Though the initial battle is over, General Kyle anticipates a second attack on Pluto Alpha Base. The X-Bomber crew begin repairing the ship - they argue amongst themselves until Dr. Benn reminds them that they have to repair the ship quickly before the Alliance make their next move... |

Back on the alien mother ship Makara begins the "FG" operation - launching a probe which projects holographic images of alien fighters heading for Pluto Alpha Base. While a baffled Ocean Patrol fleet are being distracted by this, Makara's ship approaches the defenceless Earth. She confronts General Kyle and demands the handover of "F-Zero-One" - he argues that he has no idea what she's talking about, but she refuses to believe him. She gives him one hour to comply - after that she'll have no hesitation in destroying Star Fleet Command... |
Epilogue
"What is F-Zero-One? If Earth Defence Force's don't know, they must find out what it is and protect it, but with the seconds ticking away time is running out for Star Fleet command..."
